UAPM volunteers researched
several databases to determine the number registered
dog rescue agencies in Pennsylvania. We sent a questionnaire
to each of the 210 agencies identified, asking for data regarding
the number of unwanted dogs and the cost to the agencies for
the care of the dogs over the past five years. The response
rate was 37% and the results are eye-opening: |
